If someone had enough points, they could take home a kitten or a puppy as a prize. Those who were not so lucky won a fish
Lot of criticism
The situation looked really sad. The poor animals were trapped in the small and cramped glass room of the vending machine. They had just enough space to lie down and stand. So there was a lot of criticism. The company behind the slot machines said that the animals were taken care of and no animal died. It did not want to cause any harm to the animals. The intention was that street dogs and cats would find a new home in this way.
