The Dutch Gaming Authority (Ksa) is currently busy processing license applications under the Act on Remote Gaming. Applicants who meet all the strict conditions will be allowed to offer gambling via the Internet as of 1 October 2021. To qualify for a licence, applicants must submit a large number of policy documents.
Licences for high-risk games of chance
What can a UK casino apply for?
We grant licences for so-called high-risk online games of chance:
We grant a maximum of 1 licence per applicant. You can operate several brands on this licence. Please note that only one gaming account per licence may be offered to an individual player. The limits of a player’s gaming behaviour are always linked to this single gaming account, and therefore not to the brand or brands under which you offer your games. If you want to offer more than one gaming account to players, several legal entities from your group must apply for their own licences.
Casino games where players play against the licence holder
Casino games where players play against each other
Betting on a sports match
Betting on horse races and trotting cattle
All companies that think they meet the licensing requirements can apply. There is therefore no limit. In order to qualify for a licence, it is not necessary to already be active as a gambling provider.
Can I apply for more than one licence as a gaming operator?
Can I operate several brands or domain names under one licence?
You may operate as many brands and domain names under 1 licence as you wish. However, you may only offer one gaming account per licence per player. All brands and domain names that you operate as a licence holder are therefore linked to one and the same gaming account.
